Balcombe joins Motherwell on loan | OneFootball

Ellery Balcombe has joined Scottish Premiership side Motherwell on loan.

The goalkeeper returns to Scotland for the remainder of the 2024/25 campaign having spent the first half of the season with St Mirren.

The 25-year-old established himself as St Mirren’s no.1, making 26 appearances in all competitions.

He marked his debut with a clean sheet in a goalless draw at Valur in the UEFA Conference League in July.

He made three further appearances in the European competition, as St Mirren were beaten across two legs by Norwegian side Brann in third-round qualifying.

Prior to joining St Mirren, Balcombe had previously spent time on loan at Boreham Wood, Doncaster, Burton, Bromley, Crawley and Bristol Rovers.

He has been at Brentford since the age of eight and made his first-team debut against Newport County last season, saving two spot-kicks during a penalty shootout victory in the second round of the Carabao Cup.
