Barcelona are the latest side to be linked with Juventus striker Dusan Vlahovic as the Serie A outfit prepare to make a huge decision on his future.
Juventus parted with a cool £66.6m to sign Vlahovic in 2022 and have watched him score 53 goals in 126 appearances across all competitions, including seven strikes in Serie A this season.
The conundrum for Juventus concerns Vlahovic's contract. He has entered the final 18 months of his contract and reports suggest the Italian giants are increasingly fearful of losing him on a free transfer, with talk of a new contract failing to make much progress.
If he has not renewed his deal by the end of the season, he is expected to be sold and SPORT state Barcelona plan to join the battle for his signature.
Officials at Barcelona have long admired Vlahovic and now, with doubts over the longevity of 36-year-old Robert Lewandowski, they are exploring a possible summer transfer which could represent a bargain if he allows his contract to run down.
Chelsea were recently named as suitors, while Arsenal are long-term admirers, and it is the Gunners who are seen as the biggest threat to Barcelona in this report. Arsenal are said to be exploring a January deal, which could be made possible once Juventus complete the loan signing of Randal Kolo Muani from Paris Saint-Germain.
Alongside Vlahovic, Barcelona hold a strong interest in Sporting CP striker Viktor Gyokeres but recognise the immense competition for the Swede's signature will likely prove too much for them.
