An update on the wellbeing of Barcelona star Marc-André ter Stegen has on Saturday been forthcoming.
Goalkeeper Ter Stegen has for his part of course been sidelined since all the way back in September of last year.
This comes after the German suffered a ruptured patella tendon in his right knee, during Barcelona’s 5-1 La Liga victory over Villarreal.
Ter Stegen has spent the months since in steady recovery, with a view to being fit and available for selection for the start of next season.
And, if the latest word stemming from Catalunya’s capital is anything to go by, then the shot-stopper appears to be on track in his efforts towards as much.
Speaking during his latest pre-match press conference on Saturday, Hansi Flick was drawn on Ter Stegen’s wellbeing.
And Barca’s headmaster went on to confirm that his fellow countryman has already begun training on the grass:
“Ter Stegen? He started training on the grass with the goalkeeping coach, it’s the first step. We’re happy, he’s recovered a lot, he’s on the right track.”
