Barcelona star admits he ‘really likes’ Atlético Madrid boss Simeone | OneFootball

Barcelona star Gavi has this weekend provided an insight into his appreciation for the managerial talents of Atlético Madrid head coach Diego Simeone.

Gavi and Simeone, of course, are set to lock horns later this evening.

In a crunch clash amid the ongoing battle for the La Liga title, Barcelona will make the trip to Spain’s capital, for a showdown with an Atléti outfit still smarting from being sent packing from the Champions League in midweek.

In the buildup to Saturday’s matchup, the aforementioned Gavi, in turn, sat down for an interview with Movistar.

During as much, the midfielder was asked for his take on the ongoing efforts of Diego Simeone on the touchline at the Metropolitano.

And Gavi made use of the opportunity to confirm his admiration for the Argentine, explaining:

“Atlético Madrid have a coach I really like. I like Cholo Simeone. I like him for his personality and for how he inspires his players.”
