Robert Lewandowski has been undisputedly one of the best-performing strikers in Europe this season, thanks to a stellar start to the new season.
With 17 goals in just 14 games across La Liga and the Champions League, Lewandowski appears to be the sole contender in the race for the prestigious Pichichi trophy.
The former Bayern Munich star is also closing in on 100 Champions League goals in his career. But as he gears up for a challenging encounter against Espanyol this weekend, the veteran forward will be chasing a unique personal record.
Currently on a five-game scoring streak, Lewandowski is close to a unique personal achievement.
If he scores this Sunday against Espanyol at Montjuic, he will set a new personal record by scoring in six consecutive matches for Barcelona—a feat he has yet to accomplish since joining the club.

Lewandowski’s previous highest scoring streaks with Barcelona came during the 2022/23 and 2023/24 seasons, each capped at five games.
In his debut season, Lewandowski introduced himself to La Liga by scoring in five consecutive matches against Real Sociedad, Valladolid, Sevilla, Viktoria Plzen, and Cadiz.
During this span, in fact, the Pole scored as many as nine goals and notably ended the season as the top goalscorer in La Liga. However, his scoring streak was halted by his former employers Bayern.
The following season, Lewandowski once again hit five straight games between late August and early September, scoring against Villarreal, Osasuna, Betis, Royal Antwerp, and Celta. His scoring streak ended against Mallorca.
This year, however, he seems hungrier than ever. From netting goals against Sevilla and Real Madrid to sinking Bayern Munich in the Champions League, the Pole has shown he is still one of the best attackers on the planet.
