The winter transfer window has come and gone, and one Paris Saint-Germain target who didn’t make a move is Christopher Nkunku.
Since his £52 million transfer from RB Leipzig in 2023, Nkunku has struggled to secure a regular starting spot at Chelsea, sparking speculation about his future, which doesn’t seem to lie at Stamford Bridge.
Journalist Ben Jacobs previously reported that PSG had considered bringing Nkunku back to Ligue 1, but no official offer was made.
Meanwhile, Bayern Munich decided not to pursue Nkunku this winter. Christian Falk of Sport Bild has reported that the German club could revisit their interest in the summer.

Mail Sport reports that Manchester United and Bayern Munich both walked away from their interest in Nkunku due to Chelsea’s asking price for the 27-year-old.
Recently, ESPN shared its picks for the winners and losers of the winter transfer window, and the Frenchman didn’t fare well. Nkunku joined Manchester United, Arsenal, and Chelsea, all of whom were labeled as losers in the article.
“Interest from Bayern Munich and Manchester United came to nothing, as the Blues reportedly wanted at least €60m for a permanent transfer and it’s surprising that he didn’t move out on loan in the end,” the outlet noted.
“Though it seems neither the player nor club were interested in a short-term deal. It remains to be seen what part he will play in the rest of the season, but a summer move is almost certainly on the cards.”
