Bayern Munich monitor Jonathan David’s contract situation | OneFootball

Jonathan David has scored 13 goals in 19 games across all competitions this season, but the Canadian forward does not wish to extend his deal at Lille, which has alerted Bayern Munich.

As reported by Sky Germany, David has already received numerous offers and Bayern Munich are monitoring the player’s situation with Mathys Tel’s future uncertain. With an expiring contract, the 24-year-old is able to leave on a free transfer at the end of the season.

David has scored seven in 11 Ligue 1 games and is lighting up the Champions League with four goals in his last three games against Real Madrid, Atlético Madrid (x2) and Juventus.

But what happens to Mathys Tel?

Bayern Munich are not ruling out a loan move for Tel in January after the Frenchman’s development stagnated. The 19-year-old has played just 224 minutes across all competitions under Vincent Kompany this season but was seen as the future of Bayern.

Nottingham Forest are one club monitoring Tel’s situation but as further reported, the French youth international is not planning on leaving the Rekordmeister but should that change, Werder Bremen are also interested in a loan move for the attacker.

Bayern Munich to bolster attack

As always, Bayern Munich’s recruitment team are already planning for the eventuality that Harry Kane will leave the club, at some point. Already working on identifying a replacement, Sky Germany also add that Sporting CP’s Viktor Gyökeres is in their sights, but having to pay between €60m and €70m in the summer for the Swede is unlikely.

Omar Marmoush is another possibility for Bayern. The Egyptian would cost between €40m and €50m but they would also have competition from the Premier League to sign the 25-year-old, who is taking the Bundesliga by storm this season with 11 goals and seven assists in 10 games.

Alternatively, Benjamin Šeško and Loïs Openda remain other options.
