Paris Saint-Germain have been closely monitoring Bayern Munich midfielder Joshua Kimmich for months, nearly signing him last summer. However, their second attempt to land the veteran may fall short again.

Christian Falk’s latest report reveals that Bayern Munich’s Joshua Kimmich has received a strong offer from PSG. The Parisians are likely trying to secure the midfielder now, ahead of his potential free-agent status this summer.

While PSG’s interest has picked up again, they face competition from Inter Milan and Arsenal. Meanwhile, Bayern Munich and Kimmich are still in talks, with a contract extension on the table and a possible agreement in the works.

Joshua Kimmich contract extension latest

Sky Sports’ Florian Plettenberg reports that after today’s talks, things are looking promising for Kimmich’s contract extension. All parties are open to extending his deal beyond 2025, and details are currently being discussed and finalized.

On Wednesday, Plettenberg confirmed PSG’s offer, noting that the Ligue 1 club is offering Kimmich a top contract through 2029. The offer is on the table, but the Germany international has yet to accept or reject it.

Nonetheless, it appears if Kimmich is willing to extend with the German side it will mean that he rejected their offer.

Bayern Munich’s 3-0 win over Bayer Leverkusen in the UEFA Champions League Round of 16 showed why clubs are keen on Kimmich. The veteran recorded four key passes and created two big scoring chances in the first leg victory.
