FLW have outlined who the highest paid Potters are for this season

Stoke City have not been wise with their money in years gone by, but their spending has been reduced after stagnation in the Championship, with a much tighter budget nowadays compared to that of six years ago when they were relegated from the Premier League.

The Potters have struggled in the Championship in recent times, and the club has had to reduce their wage budget considerably as a result of their unimpressive form year-on-year.

Stoke brought in numerous new faces in the summer transfer window in the hope of a more successful season, but it is not going to plan so far, and with the help of Capology, FLW have looked at the five highest-paid Potters players for the 2024/25 season.

It must be taken into consideration that the data provided by Capology are estimations and not official figures.

8 Enda Stevens - £15,000 per week

Veteran left-back Enda Stevens joined Stoke on an initial one-year deal last year, and despite numerous injury issues, his impressive performances last season saw him earn another year's extension in the summer.

The ex-Sheffield United man earns an estimated £15,000 each week with the Potters, which equates to around £780,000 in the year before his contract runs out in 2025.

Brighton & Hove Albion loanee Andrew Moran also earns £15,000 each week, according to Capology, but it is unclear how much of that Stoke will be covering for the duration of his loan spell throughout this campaign.

Moran has been a key player for the Potters so far this season, and also impressed in the Championship last term while on loan at Blackburn Rovers.

6 Ashley Phillips - £15,000 per week

Ashley Phillips is also on loan at the bet365 Stadium for this season, but from Tottenham Hotspur, and also earns an estimated £15,000 each week, despite being just 19-years-old.

Phillips has built a reputation as one of the finest up-and-coming centre-backs in the second-tier over the last few years, and his 2023 move to Spurs from Blackburn saw his wage packet jump up from £577 each week to the £15,000 that it is today, according to Capology's estimates.

5 Eric Bocat - £15,000 per week

French left-back Eric Bocat made the switch to Stoke from Belgian Pro League side Sint-Truiden in June for a reported fee of €1.5 million, plus €500,000 in add-ons, but has had a pretty rocky start to life in the Potteries so far with some inconsistent form.

Bocat is another that earns an estimated £15,000 per week with the Potters, and the four-year contract that he signed will see him earn around £3,120,000, provided he sees his deal out at the bet365 Stadium.

Swedish international Viktor Johansson has been Stoke's best performer by some way since his summer move from Rotherham United, which is no surprise, given that he was a standout in the second-tier throughout his time with the Millers.

Johansson signed a three-year deal on an estimated £15,000 weekly wage, but the Potters will likely have to increase his earnings very soon if they are to keep hold of him for the duration of his existing deal.

3 Ben Wilmot - £20,000 per week

Ben Wilmot is one of Stoke's longest-serving players as it stands, and his form has been up and down over the years since his move from Watford back in 2021.

The centre-back's initial deal at the bet365 Stadium was worth an estimated £11,154 each week, but he signed a new three-year contract extension at the club last summer, which saw his weekly wages rise to £20,000, equating to around £1.04m each year, according to Capology's estimates.

2 Sam Gallagher - £25,000 per week

Sam Gallagher's career has been riddled with injuries over the years, and that has been no different at Stoke so far since he joined from Blackburn Rovers in July.

Gallagher signed a three-year deal in the Potteries in the summer, worth an estimated £25,000 per week, which equates to around £1.3m in a season, and £3.9m across the rest of his contract at the club.

Stoke captain Ben Gibson is the club's highest earner right now, which does make sense, given his previous experience at Premier League level and status as an experienced player.

Capology estimate that Gibson earns £35,000 per week with the Potters, after he joined in the summer following the expiration of his Norwich City deal, which equates to around £1.82m each season, and £5.46m throughout the rest of his three-year contract, provided he sees that out.
