Philip Billing admits he’s learning from Scott McTominay and André-Frank Zambo Anguissa at Napoli and says Antonio Conte was one of the reasons why he moved to the Stadio Maradona: ‘He’s a winner.’
The English midfielder joined Napoli on loan with an option to buy from Bournemouth in the winter transfer window.
In an interview with Radio CRC, he discussed his transfer and admitted that the chance of working with Conte influenced his decision.
“It’s one of the reasons I came here, of course. He’s a winner, and in training, you have to be spot on day in, day out,” Billing said via TMW.

“I came here to learn and become a better player. I think he’s the perfect man for that. When you come from abroad, you know you must find your place, but everyone here is great. The relationship between my teammates is like that of a family. Everyone has been kind to me and tries to help me. I have only positive things to say about the group I found here. They all work hard.”
Billing has joined other ex-Premier League players such as McTominay and Anguissa.
“I think they are both fantastic players. I enjoy training with them and watch them a lot to see what they do because, obviously, they have been here longer than I have,” he said.
“I stick to my own playing style but also try to learn from them. They are both incredible, great profiles both physically and technically. They run a lot and also score goals.
“What has impressed me most about Serie A is the tactical aspect. It forces you to use your brain much more. Every day, we focus on tactics, and I like it, and it helps you understand the game better.”
