Niko Kovac's Borussia Dortmund have been in fine form of late, recording back-to-back Bundesliga victories over Union Berlin (6-0) and St. Pauli (2-0).
Led by star striker Serhou Guirassy, who has scored five goals in those two matches, the Black and Yellows will look to continue their great form when they host Lille in the first Champions League last-16 clash between the two clubs at Signal Iduna Park on Tuesday.
The game will be particularly special for Guirassy, who spent a season at Lille between 2015 and 2016 before his career really took off.
His former club saw a two-match winning streak come to an abrupt end at the weekend when they went down 4-1 to Paris Saint-Germain after trailing by four goals at half-time.
Having booked their place in the last 16 of the Champions League with an impressive seventh-place finish in the league phase of Europe's premier club tournament, Lille will be looking to put that defeat behind them when they travel to Dortmund.
On the injury front, Dortmund still have to manage without Felix Nmecha, who is out with a knee injury.
Niko Kovac could make a handful of changes to the side that beat St. Pauli. Provided he recovers from illness in time for the game, Julian Ryerson should start at right-back at the expense of Niklas Süle, while Julian Brandt, who is fully fit again, could start instead of Giovanni Reyna.
Jamie Gittens is pushing for a start after two successive appearances from the bench and could replace Maximilian Beier in the starting eleven.
Tiago Santos, Edon Zhegrova and Samuel Umtiti are out for Lille, who are expected to start former Dortmund defender Thomas Meunier at right-back.
