Real Madrid are yet again suffering a mini crisis, which was compounded by their recent defeat to Valencia over the weekend.
The loss to Valencia has been a major dent to Real Madrid’s title hopes, which in turn, has now put pressure on coach Carlo Ancelotti.
All eyes are now on Real Madrid’s upcoming Champions League game against Arsenal. If the reigning champions falter against the Gunners this week, pressure could mount on Ancelotti.
According to SPORT, this recent dip in form has rekindled Brazil’s hopes of hiring Ancelotti, who remains the federation’s top target.
CBF president Ednaldo Rodrigues, in particular, has been pursuing the Italian coach since 2023 to take charge of the Brazilian national team and it appears his desire hasn’t changed one bit.

Although Ancelotti has consistently reiterated his desire to remain at Madrid, things could change swiftly.
Recent reports, after all, suggest that Ancelotti’s stance has changed lately, as the Italian is not convinced of the club’s trust in his services.
Initially, the Brazilian federation had shifted its focus toward other candidates, including Jorge Jesus of Al-Hilal and Jose Mourinho at Fenerbahce.
But neither of those options has fully convinced the CBF. Talks with Jesus reportedly stalled due to Al-Hilal’s unwillingness to release him before the Club World Cup.
This leaves Ancelotti as the only viable option for Brazil as they look to find a new permanent coach before the summer.
The report even goes on to add that the CBF is now open to waiting until July to make an official appointment, even if it means skipping the June FIFA window against Ecuador and Paraguay.
