Ronaldo Nazario, the legendary Brazilian forward and former Real Madrid star, has expressed his admiration for Vinicius Jr.
The former striker, who joined Los Blancos after the 2002 FIFA World Cup, discussed the young winger’s impact at the club while speaking with Romario on his YouTube channel.
He acknowledged that Vinicius is performing at a ‘crazy’ level for Real Madrid but suggested that he has yet to reach the same heights with the Brazilian national team.
Ronaldo believes this difference in performance is closely linked to the role of the national team coach.
He pointed out that it is the manager’s responsibility to identify the best system and positions for players to thrive. At present, Brazil’s head coach is Dorival Junior, who is tasked with “finding the best positions and the best players.”
Beyond football discussions, Ronaldo also shared his long-term ambition of leading the Brazilian Football Confederation (CBF) as its president.

The former number nine outlined his vision for improving football in Brazil, promising a well-structured and efficient administration. He aims to increase investment in player development and ensure that Brazilian football continues to produce top-quality stars.
Interestingly, recent reports have suggested that if Ronaldo were to take over as CBF president, he would consider bringing in Carlo Ancelotti as the head coach of the Brazilian national team.
The Real Madrid manager has built a reputation for success and stability at the highest level, making him an ideal candidate in Ronaldo’s eyes.
However, Ancelotti has consistently reaffirmed his commitment to Real Madrid, stating that he will remain at the club as long as they want him.
Ronaldo’s vision for Brazilian football and his admiration for Vinicius Jr. reflects his deep connection to the sport. Whether he takes on a leadership role in the future remains to be seen, but his ideas could shape the future of Brazilian football in a significant way.
