Burnley FC will be hoping for another Plymouth favour v Leeds - one thing has changed though

Can the Pilgrims do Scott Parker's Burnley another favour at Home Park? 🟣
Burnley's exceptional Championship season could see them hit 100 points and still not win the league title, in what has been an immaculate end to their second-tier campaign - and to stand any chance of hoisting the champions trophy, they'll have to rely on Plymouth Argyle to do them a favour.
Burnley head into Saturday's final-day clash with Millwall on a run of ten wins and two draws from their previous 12 games in the Championship, starting said run in third place before momentarily going top of the table for a few days at the start of the month after their win over Coventry City.
A draw vs Derby County let Leeds United back into the picture, and credit is due to Daniel Farke, as his side have not slipped up either to set up a tantalising final day shootout with the Clarets. But with Plymouth having done Scott Parker a favour earlier in the month, he'll be hoping the Pilgrims can repeat that - although there would be one slight change.
With Burnley having beaten Norwich City on Friday 11th April to momentarily go top of the league, both Leeds and Sheffield United were the early kick-offs in the Championship the following day - with the Blades facing Plymouth on a long route down to Devon.
Jesurun Rak-Sakyi opened the scoring to push Burnley back to two points ahead heading into the final four games of the campaign - but a late Ryan Hardie and Muhamed Tijani double-salvo saw fans in both west Yorkshire and east Lancashire rejoice, putting them both five clear in the automatic spaces at the top of the table.
Burnley haven't looked back since, winning all of their games, but it certainly gave them the impetus to kick on with breathing space behind them.
However, a favour might be too much to ask for the Clarets, with Plymouth not having anything to play for except pride.
It'll likely be the final Championship game at Home Park for at least a season, unless Plymouth can overturn a 14-goal swing against fourth-bottom side Luton Town - and that would mean beating Leeds by at least 13 goals, with West Bromwich Albion simply having to beat the Hatters.
Of course, Burnley need to better Leeds' result to finish ahead of them anyway, and so some of the impetus will land on the Clarets' shoulders - but with Plymouth not having much to play for except spoiling Leeds' day, that will certainly play a part on the pitch.
They dragged themselves to within three points of survival with the win over Sheffield United, and with four games to go, staying in the Championship became a real possibility - but with League One football all but confirmed for next season, finding that gall and 'to the death' mentality against Farke's side could be a struggle with the writing already on the wall.
