Carlo Ancelotti speaks out on potential Vinícius Jr. move to Saudi Arabia | OneFootball

Real Madrid head coach Carlo Ancelotti has provided his take on the ongoing speculation linking star attacker Vinícius Jr. with a move to Saudi Arabia.

Surprise rumours linking wide-man Vinícius with the Middle East have of course returned to the fore in a major way this month.

This comes amid the understanding that the likes of Al-Hilal and Al-Ahli would be willing to fork over an eye-watering €300 million to bring the Ballon d’Or runner-up in this summer.

One individual, however, adamant that Vinícius will be going nowhere any time soon comes in the form of the aforementioned Carlo Ancelotti.

Speaking to the media ahead of Real Madrid’s Champions League meeting with Stade Brestois on Wednesday night, Los Blancos’ headmaster was drawn once more on his star man’s links with the Saudi Pro League.

And Ancelotti was in no mood to mince words in his response, assuring:

“Saudi bids? I can tell you that Vinícius Jr wants to stay and win titles at Real Madrid. If a player leaves Real for Saudi? I understand everything in football. Like Toni Kroos’ decision (to retire). But Vinícius wants to stay here and choose the glory”.
