There is more positive news on the renewal front for AC Milan because Theo Hernandez is reportedly close to extending his deal.
Theo played a starring role in the Supercoppa Italiana triumph, scoring a free-kick to halve the deficit in the final then setting up Christian Pulisic for the equaliser. The Frenchman was back to smiling after a difficult start to the season under Paulo Fonseca.
Calciomercato.com report that Theo’s newfound serenity on the pitch – while waiting for further proof of that – goes hand in hand with the new and positive contacts between his agent and Milan regarding the renewal of his contract expiring in 2026.
The dialogue between the parties is progressing ‘in total harmony’, and the economic agreement is now closer. We are not yet at the stage of drafting the documents to sign like for Mike Maignan and Tijjani Reijnders but the directors believe they are on the right track to reach the finish line.
Milan are even ready to make a significant effort from an economic point of view, reaching the figure of €6/6.5m net per season which as per the source would make him among the highest paid players in the squad.
There is already an agreement on the duration of the new agreement: it would go to 2029. The Rossoneri are optimistic about closing the deal positively as soon as possible.
