La Liga giants Barcelona have reached an agreement over the permanent sale of on-loan striker Vitor Roque.
That’s according to transfer insider Fabrizio Romano, who has on Thursday evening confirmed the details of the operation.
The name of youngster Roque has of course dominated the headlines across Spain over the course of recent days.
This comes after word was forthcoming that Brazilian giants Palmeiras had moved to bring the 19-year-old in on a permanent basis ahead of Friday’s transfer deadline.
The main stumbling block towards such a deal came in the form of Real Betis’ stance, with the Verdiblancos having demanded compensation for allowing Roque’s loan with the club to be cut short.
As alluded to above, though, on Thursday evening, a middle ground between all three clubs has been found.
As per a report from Fabrizio Romano:
‘Vitor Roque to Palmeiras, here we go! Deal now in place between all parties as Real Betis just approved the move.’
Barcelona, for their part, are set to receive €25 million plus a potential €5 million in add-ons for Roque’s sale. The Blaugrana have also secured a sell-on clause.
Real Betis, meanwhile, as compensation ‘will get higher rights for Ez Abde.’ Winger Abde joined Betis from Barcelona back in the summer of 2023.
