Celta Vigo are set to be without a pair of key performers for the club’s meeting with Real Madrid on the far side of the international break.

This comes after the club’s double ban appeal was rejected on Wednesday.

Celta’s last outing, this past weekend, saw both Iago Aspas and Ilaix Moriba shown red cards, in the space of five 2nd-half minutes in a 1-0 downing of Las Palmas.

Both came by way of a pair of bookable offences, Aspas’ for complaining to the referee, and Moriba’s for a pair of tackles.

Adamant that neither dismissal was warranted, though, the brass at Balaídos launched appeals to La Liga’s Disciplinary Committee.

But, as per a report from Mundo Deportivo, both endeavours have today been rejected.

Aspas and Moriba, as a result, will be unavailable for selection to boss Claudio Giráldez, for Celta Vigo’s meeting with Spanish champions Real Madrid on October 19th.
