Contact made – Chelsea reportedly now trying to sign elite talent Florian Wirtz | OneFootball

Chelsea have now reportedly made contact to sign German superstar Florian Wirtz in an outrageous report coming in this week.

The Blues have reportedly reached out to the reps of Wirtz and are now leading the race to sign the Bayer Leverkusen star.

Chelsea will of course be an easy club to link to names like Wirtz due to the fact that they have spent so big in recent seasons since the new owners came in, and they will often be taking a look at some of the biggest young names in football.

I am sure Wirtz is going to be on the radar of every big club, but I personally can’t see much at all in these big claims made today.

The claims are that Chelsea are now ahead in the running after contacts with the player’s entourage, according to Fichajes.

However, the report also says that Wirtz would around €100million for any interested club wanting to sign him.

Fichajes add that Real Madrid and Bayern Munich are also keeping an eye on Wirtz.

I do feel that we are approaching a big move for Wirtz, who is an elite level talent. I can see him making his big career move very soon and coming to one of the top leagues in Europe, probably the Premier League.

I still don’t think Chelsea would be seriously in for him though unless there is an opportunity there, or the fee is lower than what is suggested above. Chelsea have signed a lot of top attacking midfield talents of late and are pretty stacked in those areas, but I am sure that they would also be aware of opportunities like this and to improve the squad even further. So let’s see what happens with this one.
