Dovbyk out of Roma vs. Milan to create problems for Ranieri | OneFootball

Artem Dovbyk is out of the Roma squad to face Milan on Sunday evening with a muscular problem, so Claudio Ranieri is forced to reshuffle.

It kicks off at the Stadio Olimpico on Sunday at 19.45 UK time (18.45 GMT, 20.45 CET).

The Giallorossi slipped behind Juventus and Lazio in the race for a top four finish and consequent Champions League qualification, so this result could be very important indeed.

However, after Paulo Dybala and Lorenzo Pellegrini were ruled out for the rest of the season, coach Ranieri has also now lost Dovbyk.

The centre-forward suffered a muscular issue in training and is not even in the squad list for tomorrow’s game.

It is hoped the Ukraine international can be back in action for the final match of the season against Torino.

Meanwhile, the most likely alternative will be starting Eldor Shomurodov as the centre-forward rather than the support striker, with Matias Soulé in a more advanced role.

We could see Alexis Saelemaekers wide right against his parent club, with Niccolò Pisilli in midfield, or bringing Tommaso Baldanzi in as a trequartista for the 3-4-1-2 formation.

Milan have their own problems too, as Kyle Walker, Samuel Chukwueze and Warren Bondo are out, with Theo Hernandez a huge doubt to feature with a bruised thigh.
