The Dutch FA have postponed an Eredivisie match for Feyenoord ahead of their Champions League tie against Inter Milan.
As the Corriere dello Sport, via FCInter1908, highlight, the Dutch side will not have to play their league match against Groningen. This decision has not been without controversy.
Feyenoord take on Inter Milan in the Champions League round of sixteen this month.
The first leg of the tie will take place at Der Kuip in Rotterdam on Wednesday evening. Then, next Tuesday, Inter will host the Dutch side at the San Siro for the second leg.
Considering the importance of the fixture, Feyenoord requested that the Dutch FA postpone their league match between the two legs.
The Rotterdam side has been slated to take on Groningen in the Eredivisie next weekend.

However, they will in fact do so at a later date. The Dutch FA has accepted their request to move the match to a later date.
That will allow Feyenoord to more aptly prepare and rest between the two legs against Inter.
Meanwhile, AZ have had a similar request accepted. They will not play their scheduled match against Waalwijk this weekend between two legs of a Europa League tie against Tottenham Hotspur.
On the other hand, Ajax will play their Eredivisie match this week. They have a Europa League tie against Eintracht Frankfurt as well.
