Bundesliga side Eintracht Frankfurt have released a statement on Friday night confirming a development on the future of Omar Marmoush.

It was confirmed on Thursday night that Premier League champions Manchester City had struck a verbal agreement with the aforementioned German club to sign versatile forward star, Omar Marmoush this month.

That agreement followed several successive days of dialogue and negotiations in which City and Eintracht Frankfurt finally found a compromise late this week, with the two clubs working to finalise the finer details of the deal.

Personal terms between Manchester City and Marmoush are not expected to be any problem, while other reports have already claimed that the two parties agreed such terms several days ago, creating a strong belief that an agreement would be found between the two clubs.

And now, in a fresh development, Eintracht Frankfurt have released a statement in the lead-up to their huge clash in the German top-flight on Friday night as they welcome Borussia Dortmund to Deutsche Bank Park.

The high-flying German club took to social media to announce the absence of their 25-year-old star from their matchday squad against Dortmund, amid the above-explained ongoing talks with “another club” over the player’s future.

The statement read, “Eintracht Frankfurt is currently in talks with another club regarding a transfer of Omar Marmoush. Therefore, the player is not part of the squad today.”
