Real Madrid’s 2-1 loss to Arsenal in the quarter-finals last night might’ve been Luka Modric’s last ever European match for the club – a proper end of an era for the legendary midfielder.

Los Blancos haven’t made any moves to renew his contract, so it looks like he’ll be saying goodbye to the Spanish giants this July.

When he came off the bench last night, the 2018 Ballon D'Or winner overtook Karim Benzema as the second most-capped Real Madrid player in the Champions League, racking up 134 appearances.

It’s a brilliant milestone that sums up his legacy at the club, but with his exit on the cards, it’s unlikely he’ll catch Iker Casillas’ record of 150 appearances.
