Chelsea manager Enzo Maresca insists he is satisfied with his current winger options as rumours of a move for Manchester United winger Alejandro Garnacho intensify.

The Blues have been tracking Garnacho for several weeks and are expected to submit a formal offer in the coming days to snap up the 20-year-old, who could be available for a fee of around £60m and is also of interest to Serie A side Napoli.

Asked whether he wants to add Garnacho to his squad, Maresca instead pledged his faith in the wingers currently available to him.

"I'm happy with what we have in this moment," he said. "On the right side it is Pedro [Neto] and Noni [Madueke], on the left Jadon [Sancho].

"Misha [Mudryk] was with us but now he is not with us, but Tyrique [George], I think, is a young profile that can help us. In this moment, we are okay."

Maresca did, however, admit the club are alert to potential opportunities in the January window, having only recalled centre-back Trevoh Chalobah from his loan with Crystal Palace at this point in the month.

"With the club, the sporting directors, we pay attention if something can happen," he continued. "But at the moment, ten days to go, we haven't done anything. We just called back Trev. We will see in the next ten days if something is going to happen."

Chelsea have been tipped to move for a new midfielder, or perhaps recall either Andrey Santos or Lesley Ugochukwu from respective loans with Strasbourg and Southampton, after Enzo Fernandez and Romeo Lavia both picked up injuries against Bournemouth.

While Fernandez is expected back imminently, the full extent of Lavia's injury is not yet known, with Maresca predicting the Belgian will need at least "a few weeks more" on the sidelines.

Despite the limited options available to him, Maresca definitively confirmed he does not want to recruit a new midfielder.

"No. In this moment, I think we have enough players to cover the situation, with Moi [Caicedo], with Enzo... the last game, Kiernan [Dewsbury-Hall] played there," Maresca said.

"At the moment, the intention is not to go for one more midfielder."
