Groups of Espanyol supporters made use of the opportunity to take aim at city rivals Barcelona on Saturday evening.
This came ahead of the former’s meeting with Real Madrid.
Espanyol are due to return to action in short order, in a daunting La Liga meeting with table-topping Real at the RCDE Stadium.
With one of Spanish football’s leading clubs on the agenda for their side, the home crowd in attendance therefore thought the time right to take aim at another.
Gathering in large groups outside the club’s stadium, the Periquitos faithful were heard chanting:
Turning attentions back towards matters on the pitch, Real Madrid will head into tonight’s action in the knowledge that nothing but a victory will suffice.
This comes with city rivals Atlético Madrid fresh off closing the gap at the top of the La Liga table to just a solitary point, courtesy of a 2-0 downing of Mallorca.
