Napoli consider Davide Frattesi as one of their priorities for the upcoming transfer window and are pushing to make progress in a deal with Inter, especially after clubs like Manchester United and Atletico Madrid also expressed interest.

The Italian midfielder was linked with a return to his boyhood club Roma in January, but ultimately remained at San Siro, though it is understood that his departure may only have been postponed until this summer.

In search of midfield reinforcements, the Partenopei believe Frattesi’s profile would be an excellent fit and have been working to lay the groundwork in hopes of gaining an edge in the race to sign the 25-year-old.

Napoli to step up Frattesi pursuit amid Interest from Man United and Atletico Madrid

According to Fabrizio Romano, Napoli have consistently shown their interest in recent weeks, although official negotiations with Inter have yet to begin.

The Nerazzurri do not consider the Italy international untouchable and could be open to a sale, provided a satisfactory offer arrives.

Atletico Madrid and Manchester United have reportedly made enquiries about the player, prompting Napoli to step up their efforts in order to beat the competition.

Frattesi has scored seven goals in 47 games across all competitions this season, although the majority of his appearances have come from the bench.
