The latest episode of The Gags Tandon Show on Anfield Index took a dive into Liverpool’s potential end-of-season celebrations, with a particular focus on Jurgen Klopp and the long-overdue Premier League bus parade. Gags Tandon, alongside Jack McIndoe, led the discussion with passion, making a compelling argument for why Klopp should be part of the celebrations if Liverpool secure the title.
During the podcast, Gags was vocal about his belief that Jurgen Klopp should be on the open-top bus despite the German recently stating he wouldn’t be. Klopp has made it clear that he wants to experience any parade “with the fans, in the crowd” rather than as part of the official procession. However, Gags strongly disagreed, arguing:
“I would hope they would let him get on the bus because, to be honest, I think he would deserve it.”
Gags called on Arne Slot, Klopp’s successor, to push for the ex-manager’s inclusion in the celebrations, should Liverpool go on to win the league.
“I hope Slot would be mad enough to say, ‘Come on mate, you ain’t going to be in the crowd—you’ve got to be on the bus with us. You missed this in 2020, you know. You missed this. You didn’t get it. And I want you to experience it.’”
The sentiment was clear: Klopp’s impact on Liverpool has been too great for him to be left out of what should be an historic moment.
Tandon’s passion didn’t stop at Klopp. He went further, suggesting that Liverpool should organise a second bus—one dedicated to the players from the 2019/20 Premier League-winning squad, who never had the chance to celebrate with the fans due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
“In fact, I would invite all the players that won it in 19/20 and have a second bus and get them on with Klopp—the ones that left and won it in 2020 because they deserve to experience this.”
Players like Jordan Henderson, Gini Wijnaldum, Roberto Firmino, and Sadio Mané were all mentioned as names that should be included in this unique moment.
“Somebody get this clip to Slot! If we win it, please be that man and we will love you even more if you let him just come on the bus. Have zero ego and let him celebrate with some of the players that he won it with.”
The vision was clear—two buses, one for the current squad and another for Klopp and his 2019/20 title-winning team, giving them the moment they were cruelly denied.

While the discussion around the bus parade was the highlight, Gags and Jack also took time to break down Liverpool’s remaining fixtures and the likelihood of them securing the title.
Gags confidently stated: “We pretty much guarantee that the league is going to be won if something dodgy happens Tuesday night and we go out [of the Champions League].”
He elaborated that Liverpool’s schedule is relatively favourable, with no foreign travel, unlike Arsenal, who will be dealing with Champions League ties against Real Madrid or Atlético Madrid.
The podcast also touched on Liverpool’s transfer priorities for the summer, with speculation over the futures of Darwin Núñez, Luis Díaz, and Diogo Jota. There was a growing feeling that at least one of the three may leave, with Newcastle’s Alexander Isak being mentioned as a possible target.

As the discussion drew to a close, the hosts couldn’t resist a dig at Manchester City’s underwhelming trophy parades in contrast to Liverpool’s historically vibrant celebrations.
“We celebrate properly. Unlike Manchester City, where they’re all paid actors in the crowd, and it’s just like a local street with 20 people!”
Liverpool’s fanbase is expected to turn out in force should the title be secured.
“The amount of people that will travel to Liverpool—it’ll be over a million. It’ll be insane.”
While Liverpool still have work to do before they can officially celebrate a Premier League title, the conversation on The Gags Tandon Show highlighted a crucial point: Jurgen Klopp should be part of the moment, and the 2019/20 squad deserves their overdue recognition.
Whether Arne Slot can be convinced to make it happen remains to be seen, but the sentiment among Liverpool fans is clear—if Liverpool win it, Klopp must be on that bus.
