Daniel Maldini is reportedly an interest for Inter, but the Monza CEO has refuted the comments, whilst referencing his AC Milan allegiances.

In recent weeks, there have been suggestions that the newest Maldini could return to San Siro, but this time wearing the Nerazzurri stripes of Inter, rather than the Rossoneri of Milan. It has been called a transfer that would shock the history of football, and understandably so.

The Maldini name resonates with the Diavolo more than any other, given the extensive history of the family with the club on a playing and staff level. However, Daniel needed to step away from that legacy to begin writing his own chapter.

In fact, a return to San Siro could be possible in the right colours, with the Rossoneri holding an interesting clause on any future transfers, which could make a move back home possible.

Today, Adriano Galliani spoke about the youngster, and his words have been relayed by Milan News.

Silvio Berlusconi’s advice still has an impact “Crazy. All year long I’ve been telling the second striker and the others to sprint towards the goal when the ball is headed for Djuric because he always spikes it, he’s the striker who wins the most aerial battles in the top five European leagues.

“I always remember Pessina’s goal at Salerno, it was just like that. I told Nesta that the only scheme we need to work on is this: a long throw from the goalkeeper, Djuric’s pass and the goal. That’s the scheme to apply.”

Have you already spoken to Marotta about Maldini? “Never spoken about Maldini with anyone. With Daniel, I talk every day, also because he has a little problem with his shoulder, but he should make it for Sunday.”

But does a Maldini at Inter feel a little strange? “But Inter have never made a request, no one has ever spoken. No way: I don’t think so, I don’t know…. However, I am a Milanista so leave me alone.”
