Gavi injury update provided after Barcelona 2-1 Real Valladolid | OneFootball

An update on the wellbeing of Barcelona star Gavi has on Saturday evening come to the fore online.

This comes after the 21-year-old set alarm bells sounding during the Blaugrana’s latest outing.

Barcelona of course marked their return to action a short time ago, making the trip to the Estadio José Zorrilla for a La Liga meeting with the already-relegated Real Valladolid.

Gavi, for his part, featured from the off in the matchup, restored to starting duties ahead of Barca’s upcoming Champions League semi-final return leg meeting with Inter Milan.

Late in proceedings on Saturday, however, the midfielder sparked concerns.

As much came after Gavi went to ground clutching the back of his left leg, culminating in the Spanish international being hooked from the action.

Those fearing a potential incoming spell on the sidelines for Gavi, however, need not fret.

This comes amid the assurance on the part of Jijantes’ Gerard Romero that the Barca academy product was suffering with little more than a case of muscular overload.
