AC Milan were without two of their rotational options in midfield against Inter, and a report has emerged about when they could return.

It has been an up-and-down season for Ruben Loftus-Cheek and Yunus Musah, the former due to his seemingly continuous injury problems, and for Musah, it has been more of a struggle to find consistency on the pitch.

As a result, both players have faced questions about their future, with Loftus-Cheek reported to be a potential departure in the summer, whilst questions have been present about the American for a little longer.

Now, in the final months of the season, the Rossoneri will be looking to get the best from them, for their own benefit. Either to have better players for next season, or to get a better price when the mercato rolls around in a few months.

So, games against Inter are a great showcase to see their quality, but both were unable to play on Wednesday night.

Gazzetta dello Sport (via Milan Press) writes that the Englishman still has another few weeks before he can return after his surgery. For the American midfielder, it should be back to the squad on Saturday for the game against Fiorentina, it seems, after being left out in midweek due to flu.
