Craig Burley is concerned Nicolas Jackson will continue to be wasteful in front of goal following Chelsea’s draw with Bournemouth on Tuesday night.
The Blues were held a 2-2 draw by the Cherries, meaning it’s now no wins in their last five games and just three points from a possible 15.
Chelsea still sit fourth after Manchester City were held to a draw by Brentford, but if Newcastle beat Wolves on Wednesday, Enzo Maresca’s men will drop to fifth.
Chelsea as expected were heavily changed from the FA Cup victory against Moerecambe, with Romeo Lavia the only player keeping his place in the starting line-up.
The Blues started the game well and took the lead through a brilliant goal from Cole Palmer, his 14th of the season, with Jackson instrumental in the build-up.
Chelsea were brilliant in the first half with Maresca describing it as one of the best parts of the season, but as has been an all too familiar story they squandered so many chances to put the game out of sight.

The Blues were punished in the second half as Justin Kluivert converted from the spot whilst Antoine Semenyo gave the visitors the lead, before Reece James equalised with a stoppage time free-kick.
Jackson, who has scored nine league goals this season had a good game, but was guilty of missing chances, with it evident Chelsea need an alternative to the 23-year-old.
Former Blue Burley is concerned that Jackson will continue to be wasteful in-front of goal for the remainder of the season.
“He’s ok and he’s definitely had his moments this year, but we’ll see more of those misses that we saw from that header that was saved,” he told ESPN.

“We’ll see more of that than we will of the really good Nico Jackson.”
Thierry Henry has claimed Jackson is on his way to becoming the real deal, but the Blues have been heavily linked with Liam Delap and Mathys Tel as they look to add their forward ranks this month.
