Arsenal have been handed a huge injury boost on Bukayo Saka ahead of the Premier League clash against Bournemouth on the road next weekend.

The England international has been in stunning form for the Gunners this campaign with three goals and seven assists from just 10 appearances.

Saka was substituted with a hamstring issue playing for England against Greece this week and he has subsequently returned to the Gunners.

Speaking in the pre-match presser before the Finland game, Carsley revealed that Saka ‘would have been close’ but it would have been ‘unfair to take a risk with him’.

He added that the 23-year-old is a positive person and he expects him to be fine.

He said: “Bukayo would have been close but it would have been unfair to take a risk with him. He’s a positive person and I expect him to be fine.”

In our opinion, Carsley’s comments are a clear indication that Saka has suffered a minor problem and he could be fit for the next league game in the South Coast.

The ‘unbelievable‘ star has had an exceptional fitness record since his breakthrough and we won’t be surprised if he is included in the starting XI on Saturday.

With Martin Odegaard’s ankle injury, Saka has taken the mantle of scoring goals and creating big chances. He has a huge role to play in the coming weeks.

Odegaard is making good progress in his recovery, but Arsenal don’t expect him to be involved in team training until the beginning of November at least.

After the Cherries game, Arsenal welcome Shakhtar Donetsk and Liverpool at the Emirates Stadium.

This will be followed by away trips to Preston North End, Newcastle United, Inter Milan and Chelsea across three competitions before the international break.
