One former Arsenal player has revealed which Chelsea player had him scared on Sunday when his former side drew 1-1 with The Blues.
The two London sides faced off at Stamford Bridge in the latest Premier League clash between the two sides, and we expected there to be very little in it. Either side could have won it in the end, but it was a goal from Pedro Neto that helped earn Chelsea a point.
The winger arrived from Wolves in the summer, a transfer that literally came from nowhere with no saga, no real rumours, just a quick deal done and boom, he was a Chelsea player. I am guessing this will be because Chelsea owner Behdad Eghbali was apparently the driving force behind this capture.
Neto has been impressing Chelsea fans in recent games and has been showing incredible work rate as well as being a real danger in attack.
Neto has been great for Chelsea so far
Speaking on the Seaman Says Podcast, David Seaman and Sam Allardyce have been discussing Pedro Neto’s performance, and Allardyce says that Neto is always a player he’s been scared of.
The former England manager says that he’s managed against Neto in the past, and he’s been blown away by the Portuguese star’s sheer pace. And Seaman said he was afraid on Neto in this game.
“I was more afraid of Neto,” Seaman said.
“Neto yeah, I’ve experienced him when I’ve been on the touchline going ‘oof’ he is quick isn’t he?” Allardyce said.
“It’s hard to pick up a player who exploits that space away from where his normal position would be which is wide right. He goes into a central position and everyone says ‘I’ve got my man,’ And if you hesitate it takes too long. It was a very good finish though I must admit.”
