Liverpool centre-back Ibrahima Konate is tempted by the idea of a transfer to Paris Saint-Germain this summer, a report has claimed.

Konate has been linked with a switch to the French giants for months now and has regularly discussed the interest, admitting he understands where the speculation comes from as a Parisian himself.

Towards the end of 2023, Konate confessed that he had thought about representing his hometown side, but stressed that he was not actively thinking about a switch from Liverpool to PSG at any point in the near future.

Now, however, ESPN state that stance may have changed as Konate is "interested" in taking the Ligue 1 giants up on their offer of a summer transfer.

PSG see Konate as a potential long-term building block and a smart signing for their transfer strategy of recruiting young, French stars.

A return to Paris is believed to interest Konate who, crucially, is approaching the final 12 months of his current contract at Anfield. The 25-year-old confirmed last month that he had been offered a new contract but had not yet signed it, casting significant doubt on his future at Liverpool.

"I'm really focused on what will happen now and then we will see what happens," he said. "This is another conversation."
