Back in January, Bayern Munich announced that Tom Bischof will be joining the club on a free transfer when his contract with Hoffenheim expires this summer.

Hoffenheim coach Christian Ilzer believes the 19-year-old has "unbelievable potential" - and is therefore confident that “he will make it at Bayern Munich and that he is a future German international.”

"I have faith in him," Ilzer insisted after Hoffenheim's 3-1 defeat at RB Leipzig, in which Bischof scored Hoffenheim's only goal.

He added that Bischof appears to be doing everything in his power to help 14th-placed Hoffenheim climb away from the relegation zone.

“He performs week after week and doesn't let the situation in the table get him down, he just does his thing.”

Although Ilzer is sad to see Bischof leave Hoffenheim, he "definitely understands" why the 19-year-old is moving on.

“We're going to really push him in the last six games and hope it's not his last goal and that he leaves TSG for Munich on a very positive note.”
