INEOS plan to raise another £100m by selling unwanted Man Utd trio

Manchester United are plotting a major summer overhaul, but this could only be possible by offloading the deadwood in order to raise the required transfer funds.
Unfortunately for the Red Devils, losing the Europa League final to Tottenham was the final nail in the coffin of a miserable 2024/25 campaign.
While lying in the 16th place in the Premier League can never be justified under any circumstances, INEOS were at least hoping to start the summer on the right foot by securing a spot in the Champions League, which would have yielded comprehensive prize money.
Alas, Ruben Amorim’s men fell short in the final held in Bilbao, failing to break Spurs’ resistance.
So according to recent rumours in the British press, INEOS is only able to allocate a transfer kit of £100 million for the summer transfer campaign.

Needless to say, this figure won’t be enough to revamp the squad and present Amorim with a team capable of interpreting his style of football.
Therefore, the management will have to raise additional funds through player sales, starting with those who are already out of the club.
According to Fichajes.net, Man United are aiming to collect another £100 million by offloading Jadon Sancho, Antony and Marcus Rashford.
Sancho is expected to return from his loan spell at Stamford Bridge as Chelsea have reportedly decided to pay a £5 million penalty to relieve themselves of the obligation to buy the English winger for £25 million. The Reds must sell the former BVB star for a figure above £17 million to above registering a capital loss.
On the other hand, finding a buyer for Antony should be relatively easier following his exceptional exploits at Real Betis. The revitalised Brazilian has several suitors in Spain, and should be available for £40 million.
Finally, Rashford’s future at Aston Villa could depend on the club’s Champions League hopes, but he’s still dreaming of joining Barcelona. The 27-year-old’s price tag is similar to Antony’s.
