Real Madrid star Brahim Díaz is hopeful of being available for selection for the club’s La Liga showdown with arch rivals Barcelona later this month.

That’s according to Diario AS, who have on Wednesday provided an update on his injury recovery.

Versatile attacker Brahim was for his part condemned to a spell on the sidelines last month, owing to a tear in the adductor longus muscle of his right leg.

The initial expectation at the time of the injury being confirmed was that the Moroccan international would not return to competitive action for a spell of around three months.

If the latest estimates are anything to go by, however, then Brahim could be in line to return much, much sooner.

The former AC Milan man was spotted back out on the grass at Valdebebas earlier this week, well ahead of schedule.

And, as per the aforementioned AS, should all continue to go according to plan, this means that Brahim could well be available to play his part in the first El Clásico of the season, on October 26th.

In fact, it is not completely out of the question that the 24-year-old could feature in some capacity against Borussia Dortmund in the Champions League four days prior, either.
