Inter have already nabbed Luka Sucic but might not be done retooling their midfield, especially should they miss out on Nico Paz. The Nerazzurri have started tracking two further options for the position: Dinamo Zagreb’s Martin Baturina and Como’s Maximo Perrone, who’s on loan from Manchester City, Tuttomercatoweb reports.
The Scudetto champions have already brokered one deal with the Croatian side. The 22-year-old has totaled 6 goals in 23 appearances this season, dishing out 9 assists. He has held his own in the Champions League. He has 9 caps with his national team. His price tag is about €20M.
While Baturina can star as a no.10 and could potentially replace Davide Frattesi, Inter would be target Perrone especially if they sold Kristjan Asllani and opted to bring in a different deputy for Hakan Calhanoglu.
The Argentine has been a day-one starter at Como, which doesn’t have an option to redeem him, although they’ll try to keep him. He has logged 2 helpers in 18 Serie A games. He starred for Las Palmas in the past campaign. Manchester City had signed him from Velez for €11M in January 2023.
Their confidence about Nico Paz might be decreasing since they are starting to get linked to other midfielders with similar traits. They probably won’t need to offload players to raise funds but could always do it due to technical decisions, and Frattesi’s restlessness pops up at every window. The former is a nice and diligent player, but the Sky Blues might want to keep him for backup duties, for which he’d be very apt since he plays like a veteran already.
