Inter have set sights on two Argentinan talents of Newell’s Old Boys in an attempt to rejuvenate their squad, meeting the club’s president to discuss a potential deal for the pair.
Midfielder Tomas Perez and offensive winger Mateo Silvetti, both aged 19, have ended up on the Nerazzurri’s radar as they look willing to invest in players who meet the criteria set by their new owners Oaktree, particularly interested in talented youngsters.
According to Sky Sport Italia, the Newell’s Old Boys’ president Ignacio Astore travelled to Milan to meet Inter directors and assess their bid for the duo.
The Biscione are said to have offered a 12€m package, including lucrative add-ons, to sign both Perez and Silvetti, but while the two parties looked intent on continuing negotiations, there’s still a significant gap that the Serie A giants will try to bridge in the coming days.

The Nerazzurri could also consider completing a deal for just one of the two gems, with Perez looking likelier to make the move to the San Siro already in January, with chances of being loaned out to another team for the next six months,
