Inter Milan striker Marcus Thuram is confident that he is one of the top strikers in world football at the moment.

Speaking to Onza Mundial, via FCInter1908, the Frenchman rated himself among the elite marksmen.

Striker Marcus Thuram joined Inter Milan on a free transfer in the summer of 2023.

The Frenchman had already carved out a big reputation for himself over four seasons with Borussia Monchengladbach.

In Germany, Thuram evolved from a winger into an out-and-out striker.

And Thuram had also established a place for himself in the France national team while a Gladbach player.

But the move to Inter seems to have unlocked the very best from Thuram.

The 27-year-old wasted no time in establishing himself as a key player in the Nerazzurri starting eleven last season. He won the Serie A title in his very first season in the leagie.

This season, Marcus Thuram has continued his red hot form for Inter Milan.

And in fact, the France international has been more prolific than ever.

Thuram has become more of a poacher and prolific finisher in the penalty area for the Nerazzurri this season. He has used his height well aerially, and developed the killer instinct in front of goal.

The Inter and France striker said that “if you’re asking me whether I consider myself to be among the ten best strikers in the world, personally, yes.”

“I’m convinced I’m one of the top ten strikers in the world,” Thuram insisted.

“Because today, at age 27, I’m in my third season playing as a centre-forward.”

“I’m developing in a lot of areas,” Thuram noted. “I’ve come a long way.”

The Frenchman added that “I keep improving more and more in this position.”

“I’m lucky to be able to make my contribution as a Number Nine,” he said.
