Simone Inzaghi is ready for significant squad rotation in today’s Serie A clash between Torino and Inter Milan, with Nicola Zalewski to start in midfield.
This according to today’s print edition of Milan-based newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport, via FCInterNews.
Inter Milan take on Torino in Serie A this evening.
It will be the Nerazzurri’s third-last league match of the season.
Taking three points will almost certainly be essential for Inter if they are to have any hope of keeping the pressure on Napoli at the top of the table.
The Partenopei play immediately after Inter. They face Genoa later this evening.
And if Inter are to win in Turin, then they will catch up to the league leaders, at least temporarily.
Therefore, Inzaghi has made it clear to the squad that he wants them to keep their focus and treat this as an important match.
However, at the same time there is no getting around the importance of the Champions League.
Inter just played in an exhausting semifinal second leg against Barcelona. Furthermore, they have the final of the competition against Paris Saint-Germain later this month to think about.

For these reasons, Inter coach Simone Inzaghi is planning to make quite a few changes to the starting eleven.
The Gazzetta report that there will be just two or three survivors in the lineup that started against Barcelona in midweek.
Firstly, defenders Alessandro Bastoni and Yann Bisseck will keep their places.
However, Francesco Acerbi will be replaced by Stefan de Vrij in the centre of Inter’s back three.
In goal, Josep Martinez could start in place of Yann Sommer.
Meanwhile, on the flanks, Carlos Augusto and Matteo Darmian will start.
Then, in midfield there is a particularly notable selection from Inzaghi. The Gazzetta report that, with Henrikh Mkhitaryan and Davide Frattesi due to injury, the Inter coach will shift Nicola Zalewski into the midfield trio.
The Polish international will start centrally alongside Kristjan Asllani and Piotr Zielinski.
Therefore, Nicolo Barella and Hakan Calhanoglu will get a rest.
Lastly, the Gazzetta report that Mehdi Taremi and Joaquin Correa will start in attack for Inter.
Apart from Mkhitaryan and Frattesi, the Gazzetta confirm that Lautaro Martinez and Benjamin Pavard will also miss this evening’s match due to injuruy.
