Striker Mehdi Taremi will start for Inter Milan in tomorrow’s Serie A match against Venezia.
This according to Italian broadcaster Sky Sport Italia, via FCInterNews. They report that the Iranian will partner Lautaro Martinez in attack, with Marcus Thuram on the bench.
Inter coach Simone Inzaghi will have to think about squad rotation tomorrow.
The Nerazzurri’s Serie A clash with Venezia at the Stadio Pier Luigi Penzo is the first in a sequence of six matches between now and the end of January.
Therefore, Inzaghi will be thinking about leaving some regular starters out tomorrow.
Striker Marcus Thuram is coming back from a thigh injury.
The Frenchman tweaked his adductor muscles during the Supercoppa Italiana semifinal against Atalanta.
Thuram was available against AC Milan in the final. However, he did not feature.
And the 27-year-old will once again be in the squad for tomorrow’s Serie A match against Venezia.
However, Thuram will not start the match.
Rather, it will be Mehdi Taremi who leads the line alongside Inter captain Lautaro Martinez.
The 32-year-old Iranian international was also in the starting eleven in the Supercoppa final against Milan.
Then, Sky reports, Carlos Augusto will start on the left flank for Inter in place of Federico Dimarco.
