SportItalia transfer expert Alfredo Pedulla feels there’s no merit to rumours of a swap involving Inter Milan’s Davide Frattesi and Roma’s Bryan Cristante.
Pedulla blasted the rumours in a tweet. He insinuated that there’s nothing behind the rumours beyond a push from the two midfielders’ agent.
Yesterday, reports emerged that Roma could offer Bryan Cristante to Inter as part of a deal for Davide Frattesi.
The details of the Giallorossi’s prospective bid were hazy.
However, the idea was essentially that the 29-year-old would join Inter on a short-term loan as part of the negotiations for Frattesi to go the other way.
There is no doubt that Roma are keen on Frattesi. And meanwhile, it seems clear that the 25-year-old is pushing for an exit from Inter.
However, Cristante would not exactly be the kind of profile Inter would expect to sign.
And then, there is the fact that agent Beppe Riso represents both Frattesi and Cristante. This fact has hardly escaped notice.
SportItalia transfer expert Pedulla writes that “If I were the agent of both Frattesi and Cristante, I’d also want to read about a swap deal.”
“But there are four things to say about it,” he continues.
“A) This is not a fish market.”
“B) There are no elections taking place.”
Then, Pedulla notes “C) The same kind of transfer saga happened last summer with Buongiorno (he only wanted Napoli).”
“And D) Inter want to eventually look for a replacement at their own pace with the cash fee (for example Samuele Ricci, also a target for Milan.)”
