Serie A giants Inter Milan have reportedly shown an interest in the right-back, who was recently asked about his most memorable experiences in a Celtic jersey.
Johnston made the move to the Hoops from CF Montreal over two years ago. Adapting to Glasgow life seamlessly, the Canadian has become a vital leader in Brendan Rodgers’ squad.
When speaking on Celtic’s Instagram stories, Johnston was asked about moments at the club he will ‘always treasure.’ The 26 year-old responded: “There’s always something truly special about lifting a trophy at Hampden.”
“I’ve been lucky enough to do it a couple of times. The moment after, when you go over and celebrate with the crowd, half of Hampden is absolutely buzzing, and the other half is empty, you get to go over and do You’ll Never Walk Alone in front of the whole crowd, and we’re all interlocked, it’s really special.”
“You can see how much it means to the club in those kinds of moments and how much it means to the fans. Those are the moments I’ll really cherish.”

Johnston has already claimed two Scottish League Cups, two Scottish Cups and two Scottish Premiership titles during his time at Celtic.
Next up for the Canadian and his teammates is Scottish Cup last eight duties against Hibernian at Celtic Park as Brendan Rodgers’ side aim to book their place in the semi-final of the competition.
