As we enter the final few weeks of the 2024/25 season, FC Barcelona have received a welcome boost on the injury front.
Marc-Andre ter Stegen returned to the squad recently and is likely to play tomorrow when the Catalans take on Real Valladolid. Now, another player is on the verge of returning to action.
Indeed, according to Fabrizio Romano, Barcelona midfielder Marc Casado has returned to group training today after more than a month out on the sidelines.
The 21-year-old breakout star has been out since mid-March due to a ligament tear. A two-month recovery period had been speculated for the youngster while there were even reports suggesting that he might not play again this season.

But Casado’s recovery has gone seemingly better than initially anticipated as he has returned to group training today ahead of the team’s La Liga encounter vs Valladolid on Saturday night.
A return to the squad tomorrow appears unlikely for Casado but the update from Romano states that the midfielder aims to be back in action before the end of the season.
A product of the La Masia youth setup, Casado is enjoying his breakthrough campaign this season, establishing himself as a regular starter under Hansi Flick.
So far this term, the 21-year-old has featured 36 times across all competitions, scoring one and assisting six goals in the process.
The midfielder’s return in the final stage of the season will come as a boost, providing Flick with an option to rotate Pedri and Frenkie de Jong in the starting XI.
