Juventus have Tedesco alternative to Mancini and Tudor if Motta leaves | OneFootball

Former Belgium head coach Domenico Tedesco is the latest tactician to be linked with a move to join Juventus in the event that Thiago Motta is relieved of his duties before the end of the 2024-25 campaign.

Motta is under enormous pressure at the Allianz Stadium, as reports in Italy claim he will be sacked if the Bianconeri fall to another disappointing result against Genoa after the international break.

Juve are currently fifth in the Serie A table, are at risk of missing out on a Champions League spot, and have just suffered consecutive 4-0 and 3-0 losses against Atalanta and Fiorentina.

Reports over the last few weeks claim that if Juventus suffer another ‘shock’ result against Genoa next weekend, Motta will be gone and the Old Lady will have to search for a new coach to take charge for the remainder of the 2024-25 campaign.

Juventus have Tedesco alternative to Mancini and Tudor

Former Italy national team head coach Roberto Mancini has been linked with a move to Turin, but he is unwilling to accept the job on an interim basis, and would rather take over on a multi-year contract according to Friday’s reports.

Igor Tudor, who spent nine seasons playing for the Bianconeri and has also served as assistant coach under Andrea Pirlo, has also been linked with a return to the Allianz Stadium, and could potentially be talked into accepting the job on a short-term basis.

However, Tuttosport claims that there is another option for Juventus in the form of Tedesco, who is currently available after leaving his role as head coach of the Belgium national team earlier this year.

Friday’s report hints that Tedesco, like Tudor, would be willing to take on the Juventus job as a caretaker, which would mean that the club still have an option to appoint a more permanent head coach later down the line.

Among the other names to be linked with a move to Juventus are the slightly more far-fetched candidates of Antonio Conte, Gian Piero Gasperini, Stefano Pioli and Xavi.
