Juventus are monitoring the situation of Joshua Zirkzee at Manchester United and could launch a loan move to sign the striker next summer.

Zirkzee signed for Manchester United in a £34m deal from Bologna in the summer but has struggled to make an impact in the Premier League.

The 23-year-old netted a debut winner off the bench against Fulham but has since failed the find the net in 10 appearances across all competitions.

Rasmus Hojlund’s return to the side from injury has increased competition for a place, while Manchester United are named among a group of English clubs chasing a deal for RB Leipzig striker Benjamin Sesko next summer.

Sporting Director Dan Ashworth is understood to be exploring a move for Sesko, as United look to beat competition from Arsenal and Chelsea to a player who has scored 24 goals in 52 games for Leipzig.

Juventus plot Zirkzee loan move

Should the Red Devils win the competitive race for the Slovenian, Tutto Juve are reporting that Juventus would be ready to hand Zirkzee a loan return to Serie A.

The Dutch international impressed under Juventus head coach Thiago Motta at Bologna last season, where he scored 11 league goals to help the Italian side to a shock Champions League qualification.

Zirkzee was named Serie A Young Player of the Year in 2023/24 and Motta would be open to reuniting with the player in Turin.
