Kylian Mbappé confirms regular contact with Real Madrid legend Cristiano Ronaldo | OneFootball

Real Madrid star Kylian Mbappé has revealed that he maintains regular contact with club icon Cristiano Ronaldo.

The names of attacking pair Mbappé and Ronaldo of course took their place front and centre in the headlines in Spain’s capital this past weekend.

This comes after the former secured for himself an altogether impressive individual benchmark.

Despite it still being just March, owing to a brace in a La Liga meeting with Leganés, Mbappé has now equalled the legendary Ronaldo’s goalscoring haul from his own debut season in Real Madrid colours, with 33.

Speaking to the media in the game’s aftermath, it therefore came as little surprise when the subject of his achievement was put to the former.

And Mbappé made use of the opportunity to admit:

“Me and Cristiano Ronaldo speak frequently. He gives me a lot of advice. I’m very happy to equal his goals in the first season, we know what he represents for all of us… but the really important thing is to WIN trophies with Real Madrid.”
