Manchester City’s 2025/26 third shirt is once again set to feature a bold and ambitious design with creators implementing a rain element throughout the jersey.

The latest insight into the club’s look for the new campaign comes just days after the first official release with the 2025/26 home kit becoming available for purchase across the globe and is set to be unveiled on the pitch in June.

Pep Guardiola and his Manchester City players are due to head to the FIFA Club World Cup for a minimum of three matches in the United States, with the tournament spread across June and July, and the club have already confirmed that the new home shirt will feature on the pitch.

That comes amid reports of two further kits dropping in time for the tournament, which will be used exclusively in the US over the course of the summer and feature bold designs with non-traditional colour schemes.

Before then, a new look towards the brand new domestic campaign has surfaced in reliable quarters concerning a design that is likely to spark controversy among Manchester City supporters.

According to the exclusive information and images of Footy Headlines, Manchester City’s 2025/26 third kit is set to feature a silver-grey base colour with a graphic print throughout the jersey mimicking rain droplets.

The official colour combinations utilised by Puma designers are said to be ‘Cool Weather’ (light grey) as a base, with ‘Pro Green’ (neon green) used for details on the shirt’s sleeves, shoulders, collar, and sponsor logos such as Etihad Airways.

Manchester City’s fans can expect the new edition to be released for public sale in the months of August or September 2025, with the brand new season well underway by that point in the year.

Fans have already had opportunity to react to the leaked images in their numbers on social media, with the common theme being one of disappointment with regards to the look of the club’s third kit.

One user on X said, “This is absolutely disgusting”, while another insisted upon a change of kit manufacturer entirely by reacting, “This is terrible just go back to Nike,” and others made reference to the club’s ongoing charges for alleged breaches of Premier League financial rules.

“We deserve an extra charge for this, worst thing i’ve ever seen,” said one user on social media when images of the new shirt were first released on Thursday afternoon.
