Legendary Ex Inter Milan Captain Argues ‘The Psychology Changes’ For Inter After Napoli Serie A Slip-Up

Beppe Bergomi feels that “the psychology changes” for Inter Milan in Serie A after Napoli dropped points yesterday evening.
The legendary former Nerazzurri captain gave his thoughts on Italian broadcaster Sky Sport Italia, via FCInter1908.
The complexion of the Serie A title race certainly changed yesterday evening.
Napoli still have the advantage. However, their advantage is now as slender as it could possibly be.
Inter Milan got the job done away to Torino, winning 2-0. On the other hand, the Partenopei twice squandered a 2-0 advantage against Genoa, settling for a point.
Therefore, there is now just a single point separating the two title rivals at the top of the table.

It is hardly as though Inter are now in control in the Serie A title race. They know that there is still every chance that Napoli will win both their remaining matches.
But at the same time, the Nerazzurri will also feel that they absolutely must keep the league leaders honest.
If Napoli drop points again, Inter Milan certainly won’t want to fail to capitalize.
“They played a serious match against Parma,” the 1982 World Cup winner with Italy continued.
“Now they’re seriously thinking about it. Because Napoli have used up their bonus, and they can’t draw in Parma any longer 0 they have to win.”
So in the view of Bergomi, “Inter will do everything to win their last two matches.”
“The psychology changes now,” the former defender argued.
“Now we need to see what choices Inzaghi will make,” Bergomi added. “How he will try to manage the players.”
